Grading Times

Good evening everyone
This Sunday 15th November our brown and black belt gradings will be held on Zoom.

Times are as follows.

Brown belts 10.00 / 11.30
Brown & White belts 11.45 / 13.15
Black belt candidates 13.30 / 15.00

There will be a 45 mins course followed by grading for each section.

If you are not eligible to grade this time you are still expected to train in your relevant belt session.
This demonstrates support to your peer students who are grading and a chance to wish them good luck.
Anyone choosing not to support there fellow students will loose there eligibility for their next grading.
We are a family at ippon karate academy always supporting each other.

Online Classes 09/11/2020

Hello all.
Now we are in lockdown once again its important to maintain our momentum and the amazing efforts everyone has made! We have revised the online class schedule to try and maximise everyone’s training needs.
Please remember to still train a minimum of twice each week to enable eligibility for full grades.

November Grading News

Hello guys
So once again we enter our 4 week lockdown.
Following conversations with grading panel it has been decided that next weeks planned grading will go ahead.
Everyone has worked so hard not to be suitably rewarded.
Full grades including an interim Dan grade will be taking place.

Please make sure you have transferred you grading fee of £27.50 no later than Thursday so we can plan times for each belt. Any money received after this date will be returned and you will not be eligible to grade.

Lockdown

COVID-19 UPDATE

Good evening guys.

Following confirmation tonight we are very sad to say that once again we need to close all of our dojo’s.

This is to keep us fully compliant with both government and EKF rules and guidelines to keep everyone safe.

During last lockdown some people did not regularly train on the Zoom sessions this time we expect you All to train a minimum of twice per week, as schools are open we will only be running evening sessions on zoom.

Monday to Friday classes will be 6.30pm and we hope to have both morning and
evening/afternoon sessions on a weekend giving everyone chance to train a minimum of twice each week with 9 sessions running.
Sensei Jason is also planning adult only classes at more convenient time for those who have demanding work schedules.

Now the bit to parents we know home training is hard but you have a part to play in keeping your children training. If you have any difficulties with your child refusing please let your Sensei know immediately and we will help with the problem.

I hope everyone stays safe an we will closely monitor attendance over what we hope is a shorter lockdown.

We will use the normal login details for zoom.

Guest Online Seminar 07/11/2020 Christina Kavakopoulou

Hello all, just an update on this weekends Guest online Seminar.
Our karate superstar and now Karate Combat competitor Sensei Christina Kavakopoulou will be giving our online Seminar this Saturday 07/11/2020 10.30am Uk Time.
We did originally organise for Sunday but we have decided to change to Saturday.
I hope you all enjoy. Im Sure as usual Sensei will put us all through our paces.

Now our dojo karate classes are steadily running its is very important we keep our Zoom classes available for our students who are self isolating.
With the start of half term we will be putting a mixture and morning and afternoon classes on to break up the flow of the day.
