Diba began training in 2006 with her sister, Bita at the age of 6. After training at Walkden on a regular basis, she began progressing onto higher belts, gaining her 1st Dan in 2010, 2nd Dan in 2012 and 3rd Dan in 2015. She has also competed at national competitions in kata as well as team kata; on top of some success on a national level, she also found success at several inter-club kata competitions, gaining 1st place on each ocassion. Throughout the years, Diba has won club awards such as Student of the Year (2008) and Kamae Award of Excellence (2013). Alongside teaching students on her normal training days, Diba began teaching at St. Pauls Crompton Street Primary School on a weekly basis alongside Sensei Diane and Catherine Honeywell in 2012, when the club first opened. She plans to continue teaching and training before moving onto university study in 2018.
